Crestations

These are real living sculptures, sought after by collectors, coveted by plant amateurs, and “exploited” by design architects.

Crestations can be found in many plant species. They originate from an anomaly in the vegetative apex (fasciation phenomenom).

The plant's trunk, instead of growing in height, divides itself in many branches on the same plane and flattens out.

The branches remain united and the plant assumes a crested shape.

Thus, crestation is a deformity and not a disease.

In our firm we have hundreds of varieties of crestations, this because it is one of our passions.

They range from plants with a diameter of a few centimeters to one-meter high specimens.
